We collected the x-ray yesterday.
As a laywoman my opinion is that the first metatarsal of the right foot appears slightly shorter than the one on the opposite foot (and this would confirm the opinion of the second doctor) while the other two (second and third) are slightly longer.
In the 2nd and 3rd toes the phalanges are longer (and thicker) than normal (as well as the secondary centres of ossification – I have published an article to this regard). This difference with the normal foot is bigger in the phalanges than in the metatarsal.
We will have the third opinion on May 31st and we will see the first doctor (Doctor R.) in July.
