Yesterday we had our first follow-up visit at the orthopaedic surgeon after 1,5 years.
Our daughter is doing well. Her two toes are growing at the same speed as all her other toes. So good news so far.
We are seeing the doctor in 2 years from now, when she is 6 1/2. According to him there is no need for more frequent follow up visits.
The outlook is more or less the same as the one outlined at the previous visit. Provided that she continues to have no problems with shoes and walking we are going to postpone surgery indefinitely.
The doctor told us that maybe when she is in her 10s, she will probably want to do surgery due to aesthetic issues….. We’ll see then.
